Building Technology for the Ummah

Open-source tools for Muslims, Islamic Knowledge, and Daily Ibadah — built by volunteers, powered by the community.

How It Works

From request to reality. Completely free.

Here's how a mosque, school, or Islamic organisation goes from needing technology to having it — without spending a penny.

A mosque reaches out

Any mosque, Islamic school, or Muslim organisation can come to Ilm Labs with a need — whether it's a website, a mobile app, an internal platform, or a prayer timetable system. They fill out a simple request on our website. It costs them absolutely nothing.

Our volunteers get to work

Muslim developers, designers, and content creators donate their time and professional skills — the same people who build products at top tech companies by day. A dedicated project team is assembled, always including an Islamic content reviewer to ensure everything is authentic and accurate.

The community powers the infrastructure

Technology costs money to run — servers, domains, app store fees, databases, security certificates. All of these costs are covered entirely by donations from the Muslim community. The developers donate their time and skills. The community donates the funds that keep everything running. Together, they create something remarkable: professional technology that costs the mosque absolutely nothing.

Beautiful technology, delivered free

The mosque receives a professionally built, fully maintained digital product — a website, app, or platform that rivals anything a commercial agency would charge thousands for. No invoices. No subscriptions. No hidden costs. No strings attached. Just technology built with sincerity and excellence, because that's what the Ummah deserves.

Ongoing maintenance & updates included

The reward never stops

Every person who prays on time because of a notification from our app. Every family who donates to their mosque through the platform we built. Every new Muslim who finds authentic guidance on a website we created. The reward for everyone involved — the builders, the funders, the supporters — continues for as long as these tools exist. In Islam, this is called sadaqah jaariyah — charity that keeps giving.

For the builders. For the funders. For the Ummah.
